BLIS programme is a professional course. There is a great demand for the library professionals in the job market. BLIS get placed as School Librarians, Knowledge Managers, Cataloguers, Indexers, Information Analysts, Reference Services Specialists, Technical Editors, Consultants, etc. in traditional libraries & information centres and corporate sectors also. BLIS is a one year's Program that is focused on providing knowledge of the principles and practices of classical Library Science along with understanding the modern technologies applied tools.

Eligibility

Bachelor,s Degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks from any institution recognized by AMU.
OR
Bachelor,s Degree in any discipline having 45% marks with library experiences of 5 years in a recognized library.
OR
Bachelor,s Degree in any discipline having 45% marks with Master’s degree in Second Division from this University or from any other recognized University / Institution.

Program Objective

The Bachelor in Library & Information Science (BLIS) program is meant to impart skill and training necessary for effective organization and management of libraries and providing varieties of library and information services with the help of IT wherever possible.
